No. Mehzem is built on an Offline-First architecture, and nearly everything runs locally on your device. You can manage your timetable, track attendance, manage tasks, and calculate your GPA without any internet connectivity. Only Smart Scan requires an internet connection.
Your schedules, attendance entries, and grade records are stored locally inside iOS's isolated App Sandbox and sync between your devices only through your own iCloud account; we keep no copy on servers of our own. Mehzem contains no tracking code, analytics, or ad networks, and its connected services (Smart Scan and general announcements) are detailed in the Privacy Policy.
Mehzem applies standard university regulations: every 2 late arrivals are calculated as 1 effective absence. You can set the maximum allowed absence ceiling for each course (default is 4 lectures), and the app provides progressive color-coded alerts: Orange warning at 50%, Red danger at 75%, and a Debarment alert at 100%.
